More about Bannut Tree FarmOur C/L is a tranquil site in a farm setting surrounded by trees overlooking the Severn Valley and the River Severn. Our site is situated on a working farm, lawned with some hard standing and close to our own fishing pool. Don't forget to pack you rod and line! The sight has electric hook-ups, mains water supply, waste disposal and recycling bins. There is a hot shower and flush toilets just off site. The site is so peaceful that is is sometimes visited by deer from the nearby Wyre Forest. There is a footpath over the farm which leads to Arley Station on the Severn Valley Steam Railway line which has featured in several television programs. The bridge over the railway line affords a wonderful opportunity for keen photographers to take pictures of the steam trains as they speed up the line to Bridgnorth or down to the Georgian town of Bewdley and on to meet the main line at Kidderminster. The picturesque village of Arley is just over the river footbridge with a village shop, post office and tearoom serving locally produced ice creams and cream teas. Arley Church is a short walk up the hill and the sound of the bells ringing can often be heard on a summer evening. There are three public houses within the area all serving food. The farm is surrounded by the 6,000 acre Wyre Forest and there are plenty of footpaths through the forest for the visitor to enjoy the trees through the seasons. There is also access to horse riding and clay pigeon shooting on neighbouring farms. We are four miles from the historic town of Bewdley and the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park. There is a working museum in the town and plenty of choice of restaurants and cafes. Ludlow is twelve miles away with its famous castle ruins and other historic sites. Come and stay with us in this lovely part of Worcestershire and we know you will enjoy a memorable holiday. |
